Okno Group's Publications Section produces a variety of materials which provide reliable and readable information on business conditions in the east European region. Our flagship publications focus on the environmental and health-care sectors in the region. Okno publications are available through the Okno Bookstore.

In the autumn of 1996, Okno Group launched a new, specialized publication: Environment & Health. Originally a supplement to the respected East/West Letter, Environment & Health reflects Okno's long-standing interest in and experience with environmental issues in central and eastern Europe; it also takes advantage of our growing expertise on health matters and the health-care sector in these countries. E&H brings together hard-to-find information and informed analysis of key events, policy issues and industry news in the environmental and health sectors. Now merged with the East/West Letter, E&H will continue to provide the kind of policy-oriented analysis that our readers have come to expect. The new E&H will be re-launched in 2001; to request information, please fill out our request form.

Launched in 1998, Environment & Health Online is an e-mail bulletin delivering environmental and health-care news from the east European region to subscribers each month. Offering a rare blend of policy and business news from the environmental and health sectors, E&H Online's more concise news analysis complements the longer policy analyses and case studies carried in the print Environment & Health.

Okno's series of Occasional Papers offer in-depth coverage of important business issues in the region and include a growing number of titles on environmental and health issues.

Okno Group's website will host seven years' worth of archives for the respected East/West Letter, our bimonthly journal of analysis covering economics, business and politics throughout the region. The Letter's high quality articles are valued at large and small private firms, university libraries, government agencies and international organizations. Both article reprints and whole back issues will be made available online.

Finally, the section is also responsible for reviewing and editing reports prepared for clients by Okno to ensure consistent quality and clarity; it also designs and maintains this Web site and performs other design services.
